1,000 t/d Gold Processing Plant in Zimbabwe

Vanore Mining’s gold processing project in Zimbabwe is configured for 1,000 tonnes of gold ore per day. The equipment package brings together ball milling, spiral classification, leaching, thickening and electrolytic recovery.

The project connects the preparation of ore particles with slurry handling and the recovery of gold from solution. Its main equipment includes a ball mill, spiral classifier, leaching tank, thickener and electrolytic cell.

From Ore Preparation to Gold Recovery

Grinding and Classification

The ball mill reduces ore particles for downstream treatment. The spiral classifier separates a coarser settled fraction from a finer overflow, connecting particle-size reduction with the next processing duty.

Mill discharge and classification work as a coordinated section. Particle-size distribution and slurry conditions influence the material presented to the recovery stages.

Leaching and Gold Recovery

Leaching tanks provide the vessel space for contact between prepared ore slurry and the leaching solution. The electrolytic cell performs a solution-based recovery duty, using electrical current to recover dissolved gold onto electrodes.

Grinding handles the ore particles; electrolytic recovery treats the gold-bearing solution. Slurry and solution handling connect these different duties within the processing line.

Connecting the Processing Stages

Size Control Before Recovery

Grinding and classification define the particle-size stream passed forward. Treating these duties together helps relate ore preparation to the contact conditions required in the leaching stage.

For a new gold processing line, ore characteristics and testwork guide the grinding and recovery arrangement. The same daily tonnage can require different equipment when the ore or required treatment changes.

Slurry and Liquid Streams

A thickener handles both a denser solids stream and a clearer liquid stream. Their different properties matter when coordinating transfer, pumping and downstream vessels.

The equipment package therefore spans ore grinding, slurry preparation and solution-based recovery. These connections are part of integrating mineral processing equipment into a working plant.
